Intensives are a range of pure un-oxidised pigments designed to be used with any permanent or tone-on-tone hair colour. Intensives, when added to a colour mix, becomes an integral part of the colour. Intensives is used when the colourist wants more tone, richness and vibrancy in a shade or to subdue unwanted tones.   

When Intensives is used/mixed with another permanent or tone-on-tone colour that uses developer, Intensives becomes part of the host colour. This means that the added colour from Intensives is as permanent as the host colour.
